About

FilingBox was an enterprise software that supplied network-drive-based EDMS(electronic document management systems). While developing an EDMS, one day a developer developed a read-only file system that provided files with read-only after being saved by mistake, we noticed the value of using it, and upgraded it to a ransomware prevention file system, and named it ‘storage protection technology’. By keeping upgrading it, now we provide an advanced storage protection technology that prevents not only ransomware but also data-breach malware attacks. We have over 200 customer companies using it, and patents for storage protection technology, which have been registered in 5 countries including the US and Europe, and lead the international Storage Protection standard as X.1220 and X.1223in ITU-T, which develops global cyber security standards under the UN.

John Jonghyun Woo

With over 20 years of experience running four successful IT companies and inventing ransomware-poof storage and network-drive-interfaced EDMS technology, he has since founded FilingCloud. To date, he has led the organization to its current success by executing a variety of disciplines, ranging from business development to product design and technical planning.

Some of his most recent product releases, include: FilingBox, AutoPassword, OpenTerminal and etc.

His list of accomplishments includes winning prestigious industry awards like the Ministry of Science and ICT, the Ministry of Industry and Energy in Korea, and speaking at major global tech conferences around the world, such as London Tech Week, Finovate New York & Gulf Cyber Security Conference.

Before his business, he also held a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Management Information Systems from Choong Ang University and Graduate School, and worked as an IT engineer for ICT association and stock trading company in Korea.

Bongchan Kim

With over 20 years of experience developing software in Samsung Electronics, he has joined FilingBox. To date, he has led the organization to its current success by executing a variety of technical disciplines, ranging from product design to product QA, and to international standardization in ITU-T.

Some of his most recent product releases, include FilingBox Mega, FilingBox SMB, FilingBox Team, etc.

Before FilinBox, He held a Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering from Choong Ang University and worked as an SW engineer at Samsung Electronics for over 20 years.

TECH PARTNERS

DualAuth, which is the first mutual authentication technology provider, made a strategic partnership with FilingCloud to deliver secure server access management for FilingBox. It has already gained a lot of large enterprise customers and government agencies, such as the national presidential office, and No 1 commercial bank in Korea.

CERTIFICATIONS

FilingBox has obtained international CC certification, allowing it to be used by government and public institutions in 32 countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, and South Korea.

FilingBox passed the FIPS 140-2 certification which is The Federal Information Processing Standard Publication 140-2 and, it is a U.S. government computer security standard used to approve cryptographic modules.

FilingBox passed the Good Software Certification functional test, inter-operational test, validation test and has been selected for government procurement products in Korea.
